Sikh Hunters 6 ; Birmingham Citadel 3 (S Black, S Hopkins, R Gudza)
To be fair although the result wouldn't suggest as such, this was a much improved performance on the previous week. However a sloppy opening 20 minutes and the finishing ability of the Sikh Hunters strikers were the main difference between the sides. 2-0 down within ten minutes, Citadel pulled one back when Simon Black scored direct from a corner. Then to make things even more difficult for themselves, Citadel conceded another 2 goals within the space of 10 minutes. Shane then raced onto a through ball and hammered the bal into the top right hand corner from about 20 yards out to half the deficit again. HT 4-2.
Citadel were probably the better team in the second half but still ended up losing the half 2-1. The difference, costly mistakes with communication, and poor finishing. Citadel did pull the game back to 4-3 when Ramoth was sent through by Ian, dummied the keeper leaving him on the floor, and placed the ball in the corner. Citadel continued to look more likely to score but two mistakes cost two goals and the game was finished as a contest. Overall though it was a much improved performance. The work rate and effort was there. Challenges were being made. The passing was better than the previous week. However it was still a heavy loss, due to lack of concentration whilst defending, and composure when attacking. FT 6-3
