Joined Citadel in 1997/98 season, originally as just a player, but acted for 4 seasons as player/manager. In midfield, his battling, defensive qualities add some balance to an otherwise attacking midfield. As a manager, his results spoke for themselves. From 4th from bottom, to fourth and promotion in his first full season, with subsequent promotions the following 2 years. His decisions were not always popular with everyone, but the results are there for all to see. Has the full respect of everyone in the squad and his will to win is mirrored throughout the squad. Although Alan has stepped down as manager we hope to still see him in the team as much as possible.
